Lone Shark Games enthusiastically supports our friendly local game stores. We do so by creating high-end, quality games and books that we’re quite proud of, and making them available to stores for sale. In our goal to support our FLGS friends, we choose not to participate in the race-to-the-bottom pricing wars of many online outlets. Accordingly, we have instituted the following Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy. This is current as of November 1, 2023.

1. Our MAP is our MSRP. For every product we release to retail, we set a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), and our MAP is the same price. No retailer or reseller is permitted to advertise our games below MSRP.
2. Advertising includes all forms of advertising. Any method of telling a customer a price is covered by this policy. This includes internet advertisement, catalogs, conventions, events, direct mail, email, websites, displays, online auctions and all other forms of advertising media.
3. Price includes all forms of pricing. Any method or payment or compensation is covered by this policy. It covers any purchase for cash or credit, plus any form of compensation using other products or returns. It also covers website features like Click-for-Price, automated bounce-back pricing emails, and pre-formatted email responses.
4. Bundling is not allowed unless it conforms with the MAP. You may not bundle a Lone Shark product in such a way that it reduces the perceived price of our product.
5. Reselling outside our allowed jurisdictions and methods is not permitted. We have agreements with certain distributors and retailers in several jurisdictions. If you are outside those jurisdictions, or access our products through methods we have not expressly permitted, it is a violation of this policy.
6. If you don’t have a brick-and-mortar store, you can’t sell our products without our express permission. We do not allow our distributors, retailers and resellers to sell to or on Amazon, eBay, Walmart.com, Target.com, and other such sites, or to sell to those retailers who only sell online. Items purchased on these sites do not carry Lone Shark’s warranty.
7. Promotional items made available for retail can only be used for promotion, not sold. Lone Shark makes some promotional items available for retail; they are designed to encourage sales of our products, not be purchased separately. Some of our items are not made available for retail, and these can never be offered by retailers or resellers.
8. Violations of these terms will result in de-listing from all our distributors and our direct sales. We don’t like to de-list retailers and resellers, but we won’t hesitate to do so if these terms are violated. It is the responsibility of anyone purchasing from our distributors to be aware of these terms. A violation by one store in a chain may result in de-listing of the entire chain. We and our distributors will apply these sanctions at our sole discretion to address actions designed to thwart the spirit of our MAP policy.
9. Our sales activity does not serve as a guide to this policy. The lonesharkgames.com store sometimes runs offers and lists special products that are not available to retail. Anything that occurs on that site, or in our emails, crowdfunding, charity efforts, or convention booths, does not grant exceptions to this policy.
10. We reserve the right to grant waivers to the policy if we desire. We strongly encourage you to ask first rather than just seeing if we will grant a waiver after you violate the policy. Granted waivers do not create the existence of blanket waivers to others. We reserve the right to make changes to this policy, or enforce decisions that support the policy but are not listed here, at our discretion.
